Our mission is to empower the next generation of farmers with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to succeed in a constantly evolving agricultural landscape. We believe that a strong, resilient food system starts with strong, resilient farmers, and we’re here to help you thrive.
FarmAble is a program by Goodwill of Colorado that empowers veterans and underserved populations through the Whole Farmer Initiative. This comprehensive support model addresses the personal, financial, and agricultural needs of farmers, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and resources to build successful and sustainable agricultural operations. Through partnerships with organizations like AgrAbility, Northwestern Mutual, and experienced mentor farmers, we ensure that every participant has the opportunity to thrive in all aspects of their farming journey.

Maddi Hughes
A horticulture specialist and Maryland native who’s always had a strong connection to the outdoors. I pursued my passion for plants at West Virginia University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture in 2021 before moving to Colorado. Now, I enjoy cultivating my garden in the beautiful Rocky Mountain region and sharing my knowledge of plant sciences with others. When I’m not tending to my plants, I’m likely spending time outside with my dog, Lyra, or exploring Colorado’s great outdoors!
