Through customized support, adaptive technology, mental health resources, and a network of community resources, AgrAbility ensures that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in agriculture.

About the Colorado AgrAbility Program

The Colorado AgrAbility Program is a specialized initiative that focuses on serving agricultural workers across Colorado. In partnership with Colorado State University Extension and Goodwill of Colorado, this program provides targeted support for the unique needs of Colorado’s farming communities. From the high plains to mountain valleys, the Colorado AgrAbility Program understands the distinct challenges of farming in this region and offers solutions to support you every step of the way—including resources for mental well-being.

Who Can Benefit from the Colorado AgrAbility Program?

The Colorado AgrAbility Program serves farmers, ranchers, and agricultural workers throughout Colorado who face any physical, mental, or health-related challenge. This includes:
  • Farmers and ranchers with disabilities or chronic conditions
  • Agricultural workers experiencing stress, anxiety, or mental health challenges
  • Veterans returning to agriculture
  • Aging farmers seeking adaptive solutions
  • Anyone in agriculture facing barriers due to health or disability

Services Offered by the Colorado AgrAbility Program:

Personalized Assessment and Planning

Colorado AgrAbility’s team conducts on-site assessments to evaluate individual needs, including mental health challenges that come with agricultural work. We develop a personalized plan that fits the Colorado farming environment, helping you find solutions to physical and mental health obstacles.

Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment

Access adaptive tools and equipment to enhance safety and efficiency, designed to meet the demands of Colorado’s unique agricultural landscape. From mobility aids to ergonomic tools, our resources help you work with confidence, reducing physical strain and improving mental well-being.

Training, Education, and Mental Health Resources

Receive practical knowledge with training on adaptive techniques and safe practices suited for the unique conditions in Colorado. We also offer educational resources and workshops focused on mental wellness in agriculture, providing tools for stress management, resilience, and emotional support.

Community Support and Resources

Connect with a statewide network of agricultural workers with disabilities and access mental health resources specific to farming. Colorado AgrAbility advocates for your physical and mental health needs. Our team provides guidance to help you access both state and federal resources, from USDA programs to mental health support services available to Colorado’s agricultural community.
