These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in FarmAble, a program provided by Goodwill of Colorado to support veterans, underserved populations, and beginning farmers and ranchers across Colorado. By enrolling in or using the services offered by FarmAble, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1. Introduction
FarmAble, a Goodwill of Colorado initiative, provides resources, training, mentorship, and financial guidance to assist beginning farmers and ranchers in Colorado. FarmAble is accessible to all individuals who meet the program eligibility criteria, with particular emphasis on aiding veterans, underserved communities, and individuals new to agriculture.
2. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to participate in FarmAble:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must agree to and comply with these Terms and Conditions.
FarmAble may require verification of your identity or eligibility status for participation.
If you have previously been removed from the FarmAble program or violated its Terms, your re-application may be subject to review.
FarmAble reserves the right to deny or revoke access to the program if a participant does not meet or maintain eligibility criteria.
3. Program Scope and Offerings
The FarmAble program provides the following services to support participants’ growth and success in the agricultural field:
Business Planning and USDA Program Guidance: FarmAble staff offers information on USDA loans, grants, and resources but does not guarantee approval for USDA assistance.
The Whole Farmer Approach: Our support model addresses personal, financial, and agricultural needs through partnerships with organizations like AgrAbility, Northwestern Mutual, and mentor farmers.
Mentorship and Networking: Access to FarmAble’s mentor network, designed to provide personal guidance from experienced farmers. Mentorship is for informational purposes only and does not imply a business relationship.
Educational Resources and Online Courses: Access to online courses, including those on regenerative agriculture, is provided via LearnWorlds. These resources aim to expand participant knowledge and practical skills.
Farm and Financial Risk Assessment: Basic financial and risk assessments are offered as part of FarmAble’s commitment to sustainable and effective farm management.
FarmAble makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any advice, mentorship, or third-party services, and results may vary by participant.
4. Participant Responsibilities
By enrolling in FarmAble, you agree to:
Provide Accurate Information: You must provide truthful, current, and complete information during registration and update this information as needed.
Respect Privacy and Confidentiality: Personal and business information shared within the program, particularly in mentorship sessions or online groups, should remain confidential. You must not disclose sensitive information about other participants, mentors, or FarmAble staff without permission.
Comply with All Program Rules and Laws: Engage in lawful activities and follow program rules. Any illegal, abusive, or disruptive conduct will result in immediate removal from FarmAble.
Participants are solely responsible for the outcomes of actions based on advice or resources provided through FarmAble and should exercise discretion and personal judgment.
5. Intellectual Property and Use of Content
All materials, course content, and resources provided by FarmAble are protected under copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws. By participating in FarmAble, you agree:
Not to share, replicate, or distribute program content, including course materials, without express written permission from Goodwill of Colorado.
Not to use the FarmAble name, logo, or materials in any manner that could misrepresent your affiliation with the program.
These resources are intended for personal, non-commercial use by registered participants only.
6. Online Courses and Content Accessibility
FarmAble offers online educational courses through LearnWorlds. By enrolling in these courses, you agree to the following:
Non-Transferable Access: Access to course materials and digital content is solely for registered participants and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without authorization.
Modifications and Discontinuation: FarmAble reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue online courses or materials as needed.
Responsibility for Use: Participants are encouraged to apply course knowledge with care and consideration, recognizing that agricultural conditions, personal circumstances, and other factors may influence outcomes.
7. Limitations of Liability
Goodwill of Colorado, FarmAble, and any associated partners or mentors are not liable for:
Any financial, operational, or personal losses arising from reliance on program materials, mentorship, or third-party guidance.
Damages or losses caused by participant actions or decisions, including those based on FarmAble’s educational resources or recommendations.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, regardless of the source or nature of the claim.
Participants accept all risks associated with their own business and agricultural activities.
8. Third-Party Collaborations and Partnerships
FarmAble partners with various organizations, including but not limited to AgrAbility, Northwestern Mutual, and potential collaborators like Guidestone Colorado and LandLink. When engaging with third-party partners:
Participants may be required to agree to additional terms set by these third parties.
FarmAble and Goodwill of Colorado are not responsible for the actions, policies, or services of third-party organizations.
FarmAble does not endorse any specific financial products or services provided by third parties unless explicitly stated.
9. Privacy Policy
FarmAble respects your privacy and handles all personal information according to Goodwill of Colorado’s Privacy Policy. Your data will be used solely for program administration and improvement and will not be shared with external parties without your consent, except where required by law.
10. Termination and Suspension
FarmAble reserves the right to terminate or suspend participation for individuals who:
Violate these Terms and Conditions.
Engage in unlawful or harmful behavior, including but not limited to harassment, fraud, or property damage.
Misrepresent themselves or misuse program resources.
In cases of termination, participants will lose access to all FarmAble services, resources, and networks.
11. Amendments to Terms
FarmAble may revise these Terms and Conditions periodically. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting, and participants are encouraged to review these Terms regularly. Continued participation in the program after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
